"Batman: Year One" is a Batman story written by Frank Miller with art by Dave Mazzucchelli. It was published in 1987 through the Batman series, in issues Batman #404–#407, as a new origin story for the character. This is one of many Post-Crisis reboots, establishing the history of the DC Universe following Crisis on Infinite Earths. It is considered the first canonical Batman story within the New Earth continuity.
"Batman: Year Two" is a story written by Mike W. Barr and illustrated by Alan Davis and Todd McFarlane. It was published in 1987 through the series Detective Comics #575–#578 as a continuation of the new Batman origin story created by Frank Miller and Dave Mazzucchelli in Batman: Year One.
