Spaceballs

Spaceballs is an American franchise created by Mel Brooks. It began with the film Spaceballs (1987), a parody of an American space opera, co-written, produced, and directed by Brooks. The story primarily parodies the original Star Wars trilogy, but also other popular franchises such as Star Trek, Alien, Wizard of Oz, 2001: An Odyssey, Planet of the Apes, and Transformers. This franchise has films, animated series, and a legion of fans around the world.
